Roasted Cinnamon Sugar Pecans

Sweet and crunchy cinnamon-sugar coated pecans roasted to perfection. A delightful snack that’s perfect for holidays or as a homemade gift.

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg white
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pound pecan halves
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2-1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).
    Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
    In a large Ziploc bag, mix together the sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
    In a separate bowl, whisk the egg white and water together until frothy (you can use a fork or an electric mixer).
    Add the pecans to the bowl with the egg white mixture and stir to coat.
    Pour the coated pecans into the Ziploc bag and shake to fully coat them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
    Spread the pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
    Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes to ensure even roasting.
    Allow to cool before serving or storing.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
    These pecans also make a great gift in a jar, tied with a ribbon.
    You can adjust the amount of cinnamon depending on your preference for spice.
