Tartar Sauce

This classic tartar sauce is the perfect tangy complement for fried seafood, fish sticks, or even as a dip for vegetables. With a blend of mayonnaise, pickles, capers, and lemon, it’s quick and easy to make.

Tartar Sauce

A tangy and creamy tartar sauce made with mayonnaise, dill pickles, capers, lemon, and seasonings. Perfect for serving with fried fish or seafood.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tablespoons minced dill pickles or dill relish
  • 2 Tablespoons minced onion
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped capers
  • 2 Tablespoons caper juice
  • juice of medium lemon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 Tablespoons buttermilk

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well.
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
    Serve with fried seafood, fish sticks, or as a dipping sauce for vegetables.

Notes

  • For a richer sauce, you can add a small amount of Dijon mustard or a dash of hot sauce for extra flavor.
  • This sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
