Tartar Sauce
This classic tartar sauce is the perfect tangy complement for fried seafood, fish sticks, or even as a dip for vegetables. With a blend of mayonnaise, pickles, capers, and lemon, it’s quick and easy to make.

Tartar Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 Tablespoons minced dill pickles or dill relish
- 2 Tablespoons minced onion
- 1 Tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 Tablespoon chopped capers
- 2 Tablespoons caper juice
- juice of medium lemon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 Tablespoons buttermilk
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well.Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.Serve with fried seafood, fish sticks, or as a dipping sauce for vegetables.
Notes
- For a richer sauce, you can add a small amount of Dijon mustard or a dash of hot sauce for extra flavor.
- This sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
