Garlic Parmesan Breadsticks
These cheesy breadsticks are a family favorite, featuring soft dough topped with a garlic-infused buttery glaze and finished with a generous sprinkle of parmesan cheese. They’re perfect for dipping or served alongside your favorite pasta dishes.

Garlic Parmesan Breadsticks
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 Tablespoon active dry yeast
- 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3-4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder plus extrafor sprinkling (as desired)
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese plus extra for sprinkling (as desired)
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients. Dough should be a little sticky. Knead for 3 minutes. Let dough rest for 15 minutes.Melt 1 full stick of butter, pour half in a cookie sheet, and spread evenly.Roll dough out in the cookie sheet, pour remaining butter on top and spread. Sprinkle with garlic powder and parmesan cheese.Let rise for another 15–20 minutes.Bake at 375°F for 12–15 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Use a pizza cutter to cut desired stick sizes.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can brush with more butter after baking or sprinkle with a little extra parmesan cheese while hot.
- These breadsticks can also be made in advance and frozen before baking. Simply let them rise, then freeze and bake when ready.
