Cocktail Sauce

This homemade cocktail sauce is tangy, spicy, and perfect for pairing with shrimp, oysters, or other seafood. With just a few ingredients, it’s easy to prepare and brings a burst of flavor to any appetizer platter.

A family favorite, adapted from Market Street Grill

Cocktail Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 cups chili sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons tomato juice
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • juice of one lemon

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir until well blended.
    Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
    Serve with seafood such as shrimp, oysters, or crab cakes.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of mustard or lemon juice to taste if you prefer a spicier or more tangy flavor.
    For a thicker consistency, add a small amount of ketchup or reduce the tomato juice.
    This cocktail sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
