Donut Muffins
These light and fluffy donut muffins are the perfect treat for breakfast or dessert. Coated with a sweet cinnamon-sugar topping, they’re irresistibly soft on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease lightly.Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground nutmeg.Add wet ingredients: Add the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined, being careful not to over-mix.Spoon into muffin tin: Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full with the batter.Bake: Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.Prepare topping: While the muffins are baking, mix the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.Coat muffins: When muffins are done, allow them to cool for 5 minutes. Then, while they are still warm, sprinkle or dip the tops in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Notes
- Storage: Store leftover muffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
