Ingredients

  • 1 pint fresh strawberries blended
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the blended strawberries, sugar, corn syrup, lemon juice, and butter.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat.
Skim any foam from the surface if needed.
    Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Syrup will thicken slightly as it cools.
For a smoother syrup, strain through a fine mesh sieve after cooking.
