5cups all-purpose flour
For the Frosting
1cupbuttersoftened
8ouncecream cheesesoftened
1/2cuphoney
pinch of salt
3-4cupspowdered sugar
ground cinnamonas desired
Instructions
Prepare the Oven and Pan:Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter a 9x13-inch baking pan.Make the Cake Batter:In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and pumpkin pie spice. In a separate large bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, melted butter, and pumpkin puree until smooth. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until fully combined.Bake the Cake:Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached.Make the Frosting:While the cake is cooling, prepare the frosting by whipping together cream cheese and honey until smooth.
