Ingredients
1Tablespooncornstarch
1/4teaspoonground cinnamon
1/4teaspoonground nutmeg
1 1/2cupapple juice
4teaspoonsgranulated sugar
Instructions
In a small saucepan, whisk together the cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, apple juice, and sugar until smooth.Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a gentle boil.Reduce heat and simmer for 1–2 minutes, stirring, until the syrup is glossy and smooth.Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Syrup will continue to thicken slightly as it cools.Stir well before serving if the syrup sits for a bit.Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.This syrup pairs especially well with pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, and French toast.
