Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 large egg yolks beaten (save whites)
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 3 large egg whites beaten stiff
Instructions
- Preheat Waffle Iron: Preheat your waffle iron according to manufacturer instructions.Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the beaten egg yolks, milk, and vegetable oil until smooth.Combine Wet and Dry: Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.Fold in Egg Whites: Carefully fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites using a spatula. Gently fold to retain air and keep the batter light.Cook Waffles: Pour batter into the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crisp.
