1/2cupbuttersoftened
1/2 to 1teaspoonsalt
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1packetDream Whip Mix(located next to Jello in store isle)
1/3cupNutella
3Tablespoonmilkmore or less depending on consistency
2-3cupspowdered sugar
Instructions
To Make Cupcakes
Preheat oven to 350°F and line a muffin pan with cupcake liners.In a bowl, whisk cocoa powder and hot water until smooth. Let cool slightly.In a large bowl, combine cocoa mixture, buttermilk, sugar, eggs, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until combined.Stir in heavy cream and melted Nutella.Divide batter evenly among cupcake liners.Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely.
To Make Frosting
Beat butter, salt, and vanilla until smooth.Add Dream Whip mix, Nutella, milk, and powdered sugar. Beat until light and fluffy, adjusting milk as needed.Frost cooled cupcakes. If desired, pipe frosting and add a small spoonful of Nutella in the center.
