Favorite Grilled Chicken Marinade

A balanced, savory grilled chicken marinade that delivers tender, flavorful chicken every time—no additional sauce needed.

Ingredients

  • 4 or 5 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 Tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 whole lemon juiced
  • 1/2 Tablespoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoon italian leaf parsley
  • 3 Tablespoon mustard
  • 2 teaspoon minced garlic

Instructions

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, pepper, parsley, mustard, and garlic until well combined.
Place chicken breasts in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are well coated.
Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 6 hours. Turn or shake occasionally to redistribute the marinade.
Preheat grill to medium heat. Remove chicken from marinade and discard excess liquid.
Grill chicken until fully cooked and juices run clear, about 5–7 minutes per side depending on thickness.
Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • This marinade works well for chicken thighs as well as breasts.
Do not marinate longer than 6 hours due to the vinegar and lemon juice.
Leftover grilled chicken is excellent sliced for salads, wraps, or bowls.
