This Christmas Syrup is rich, buttery, and lightly caramelized with vanilla. It’s a festive topping for pancakes, waffles, or French toast and comes together quickly on the stovetop.

Christmas Syrup

A rich, buttery vanilla syrup made on the stovetop—perfect for holiday breakfasts and brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 Tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, sugar, heavy cream, and corn syrup.
    Stir until the butter is melted and the mixture is well combined.
    Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
    Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
    Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Use a large saucepan to prevent boiling over.
    Syrup will thicken slightly as it cools.
    Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated gently in the microwave or on the stovetop.
